Volunteer Job Descriptions

Preschool Leaders

2 to 4 leaders are needed to teach classroom style Sunday School to 3 year-olds and Pre-Kindergarteners. This is a single combined class of children. The preschool class follows the same stories as the Rotation tribes. Each story will be read and taught for 3 or 4 weeks, with a different kind of lesson each week, like art, games, drama and more.

Preschool leaders are asked to commit to a whole year of Sunday School, from September to May. Subs are available if you need to be absent. Lesson plans and materials are provided.

Rotation Tribe Leaders

3 to 6 Tribe Leaders are needed to lead mixed age tribes in Rotation. There are 3 tribes of mixed age children from Kindergarten to 3rd grade. About once a month, the tribes will split into age level groups or household groups for special sessions. Check the Rotation page for more information.

Tribe leaders are asked to commit to a whole year of Sunday School, from September to May. Subs are available if you need to be absent

Rotation Workshop Leaders

Many, many workshop leaders are needed to teach the rotation lessons. Each workshop is 3 weeks long, the same lesson is taught each week to a different set of children, Check out the Spark Stories listed above on the volunteer chart!

Each story is a 3 week session. Workshop leaders are asked to commit to only 3 weeks at a time. You are welcome to volunteer for more than one story throughout the year.

4th & 5th Grade Leaders

2 to 3 leaders are needed to teach classroom style Sunday School to 4th and 5th grade students. We would love to have a high school aged youth serve as a teacher/mentor with this group, too!

The 4th & 5th grade class will study the same readings that are read in worship each week. For more information check the 4th & 5th grade page.

Leaders are asked to commit to a whole year of Sunday School, from September to May. Subs are available if you need to be absent.
Lesson plans and materials are provided.

Materials Team

Join our materials team! We could use 2 or 3 people to help keep leaders supplied with what they need!

The materials team meets every week during the Sunday School hour to help with taking attendance, making sure that all the classes have what they need for the weeks lesson, and to get set-up for the next week or story.

Christmas Program Director(s)

Do you love the Christmas Program? Want to help make it great? This is the job for you!

We are looking for a person or a team of people to help plan and direct the Christmas Program. This person (or people) will also be asked to help choose a program and help coordinate other volunteers for the program.
