Rotation Sunday School – K-3rd Grade
Most of the Kidfaith students will be following the schedule of Rotation Stories listed in the calendar to the right. The main Rotation group will be Kindergarten through 3rd grade. This is smaller group than last year (since the 4th graders combined with the 5th graders), so we are condensing the tribes a little. There will be three tribes all of mixed ages. We do this to keep the tribes all about the same size, and so that a week with Together in Faith does take all the children out of any one tribe.
As in the past, stories will be told in a variety of ways over a 3 or 4 week period. A typical day in Rotation starts with a large group opening with songs and a brief storytelling and group devotion time. Then each group heads off to a different workshop, things like art, games, cooking and more. Check out the Volunteer Page to see what workshops go with each story.
In between stories the Rotation tribes have Tribe Days and Household Days. Tribe Days are a chance for children in the same grade to meet together for age level devotions and learning on the story. Tribe Days are led by the Tribe leaders and are centered around the Rotation Story. There are 2 Household Days, October 2 and March 25. On these 2 days will invite whole families to participate in the story together. We will create family altars and learn about what an altar is, and we will practice telling each other Bible stories as part of a family devotion time.
